Predicting the unpredictable

It's an increasingly complicated and messy world

From geopolitical tensions and climate issues to labour shortages, rising costs, emerging technologies and changing customer demands – the world is becoming messier and more complex. All these challenges have one thing in common: they make it tougher for businesses everywhere to operate with certainty. The question is, how do you navigate all this and come out ahead?

Brave new worlds

Our client, a spin-out venture from Improbable – one of the pioneers in Metaverse development – emerged to help organisations predict the unpredictable. It does so by bridging the gap between the real and synthetic worlds, enabling firms to navigate the complexities of AI, automation and robotics.

By building precise synthetic worlds (also known as digital twins) that mirror real-world business environments, it helps its customers model and simulate the impact of change – whether that’s exploring how extreme events would disrupt operations or understanding what increased competition could mean for sales. It gives businesses the power to make faster, more informed decisions with greater clarity and control – and transform their performance.

Our brief was to tell this story and build a brand from the ground up – in a way that matched the scale of our client’s ambition.

The tools to leap ahead

We embedded the concept of transformation at the heart of the brand, starting with the promise to help organisations leap ahead with greater confidence.

The name Kallikor is inspired by Callicore, a genus of butterfly – and as such a symbol of transformation and symmetry. It’s also a phonetic twin of Callicore – alluding to the digital twins of real-world environments at the heart of how the business works. Altering the spelling gives the name a modern, more technical edge that sets the tone for the visual expression of the brand.

The logo weaves together the ideas of transformation, symmetry and digital twins through its reflected Ks that compress to form the distinctive shorthand symbol for the brand. Typestyle builds the sense of enhanced decision-making and colour adds urgency and dynamism.

The distinctive, mirrored-effect image style further reinforces these themes. The visual transition from blur into focus illustrates how Kallikor turns uncertainty into clarity and confidence, underscoring its impact on its customers’ businesses.

The tone of voice we developed is confident and thought-provoking – avoiding the technobabble that pervades the sector. It subverts familiar expressions, layers meaning into every headline and provides a strong point of view; all designed to reflect Kallikor’s power to help businesses gain fresh perspectives, uncover hidden insights, and view the world through a new lens.

Kallikor launched in summer 2024.
