Account Manager

We’re looking for a switched-on and energetic Account Manager to join our Client Management team.

You’ll be managing every aspect of the project inside and outside of The Clearing with the support of the Senior Client Management team, reassuring clients, helping them to fall in love with the business & keep coming back for more

The role
  • Managing the day-to-day client relationship of a few small / medium sized clients (c.£50k) with support from our Client Partnerships Director & Account Director – making sure the experience is an excellent one for all involved
  • Supporting the Senior Client Management team in managing our larger sized clients (+£500k), which involves day-to-day management of multiple projects through the studio
  • Creating open lines of communication between Clients and The Clearing team – write contact reports, prepare clear briefs, managing timings to meet deadlines and chair internal and certain external project meetings
  • Befriending Clients, being a good listener, reassuring them that everything is under control and making them look good
  • Presenting to clients and internally, being confident, believable and passionate
  • Making sure work is on brief, on budget and on time – as well as delivering a healthy margin
  • Contributing to the strategic and creative thinking on projects to ensure all output is Bold, Beautiful and Intelligent – and that Clients always have access to expert advice
  • Working with and supporting our New Business Director – improving processes where able, scoping and writing cost estimates, creating timing plans and looking for opportunities to secure extra work with existing clients
  • Filing key information for client projects, and invoices are issued and dispatched on an on-going basis, as well as at the month-end
  • Contributing to the company culture

What else:

As a team, we all commit our time and talents to protecting and improving our community, local environment and the planet – whether that’s supporting our chosen local charity for the year, rolling up our sleeves and doing a Thames foreshore clear up, or mentoring the creatives of tomorrow – and it’s really important to us that anyone joining the studio wants to pitch in too. We’re always looking for more opportunities that we can get involved in, so if there’s a particular social or environmental cause that you’re passionate about, we’d love to hear more about it!

Your Experience
  • Graduate calibre
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a brand consultancy (although we’d also consider strong candidates from a digital, advertising and/or comms background)
  • Someone who’s accurate, and has an eye for detail
  • Efficient and extremely organised
  • Able to multi-task, prioritise and manage workload under pressure to meet deadlines
  • A natural communicator – good writer and strong presenter
  • A good listener & emotionally intelligent
  • Team player
  • Energetic & proactive
  • Passion for the subject / fluent in branding theory
  • Experienced with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Mac proficient

A more diverse industry is a more creative one, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive studio environment, where everyone feels supported and appreciated for who they are and what they bring to our agency.
Whether you think you ‘fit’ the typical branding agency mould or not, if you’re excited by this job description and feel you have the right experience, we want to hear from you.
