They challenged us to create a modern, relevant concept of ‘new luxury’ that shows travellers why getting away with them is better than going it alone. We developed a new brand that was designed to show the value of expertise, while injecting the wonder and excitement of travel into the whole experience – right from the first day of planning. This brand inspires people with the possibilities the world has to offer, instead of overwhelming them.
Unforgettable holidays are about more than just luxurious accommodation and picturesque destinations. They’re about those one-off sunsets you share with the people you care about. The taste of a dish that’s been prepared in front of you (with ingredients your guide helped you catch). Or simply the hotel remembering your favourite tipple on your birthday.
These are the things that lift travel out of the ordinary. Making these moments is what Scott Dunn specialises in. The new brand was built from a deep knowledge of travel, an astonishing attention to detail and a personal understanding of each and every guest. Because the people who work at Scott Dunn haven’t just been to the places they’re talking about, they’re friends with the locals.
The new logo is inspired by the most intrepid bird on the planet: the Arctic tern. It migrates over 35,000km each year – further than any other bird – chasing the sun’s warming rays, in search of the things it loves.
Graceful and sophisticated, with an incomparable knowledge of every corner of the world, the Artic tern is the perfect representation for the new Scott Dunn brand. The logo was illustrated and printed using a linocut technique by printmaker Jessica Benhar. It’s much than a logo; it’s a piece of art in its own right.
Behind each image is a story. And behind each of Scott Dunn’s ‘Journey Makers’ is a life of experiences to share. As with travel, stories and people are at the heart and soul of this brand.
