The Clearing win DBA Design Effectiveness Awards with One Feeds Two & London's Air Ambulance

We're delighted to share the news that we've won a GOLD for work with food charity One Feeds Two and a SILVER for work with London’s Air Ambulance at the DBA Design Effectiveness Awards 2018. Our industry's most sought-after, hard to won Awards, the DBAs recognise design that's had a tangible and measurable impact upon business success. They focus on design's strategic and commercial value, and demand proof that design thinking has delivered powerful business transformation.

The new brand identity we created for London’s Air Ambulance increased fundraising and engagement, turning the helicopter into a flying billboard and helping acquire a second helicopter. Graham Hodgkin, CEO London’s Air Ambulance 2012-2016 said "Our goal was the acquisition of a second emergency medical helicopter. Enhancing the livery on the current aircraft helped us promote the critical messages of the advanced trauma service, that we are funded by donations and how many patients we have cared for. Building equity into the livery design turned our helicopter into a powerful communication and awareness tool.”

Repositioning the brand for One Feeds Two and creating a new visual & verbal identity led to brand partnerships and the ability to scale the charity significantly. Cristina Fedi, former Head of Brand at Byron Hamburgers: “We’d been looking for a charity partner that matched Byron in its individual and simple approach, with a similarly bold and eye-catching design. One Feeds Two stood out straight away – it had a strong logo that could communicate the idea without explanation, a beautifully-designed visual identity that put a smile on our faces.”
